By accessing or using BioRoute ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BioRoute is a research support tool that helps scientists discover enzyme candidates by searching scientific literature and curated databases. The Service provides AI-assisted analysis of published data to suggest enzyme candidates, experimental protocols, and reagent information.

3. Research Use Disclaimer

BioRoute is a research support tool, not a substitute for expert scientific judgement. All results, recommendations, and extracted protocols require independent verification by qualified researchers before any wet-lab use. BioRoute does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any enzyme candidate or protocol for your specific application.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond normal use
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding third-party scientific data), is owned by BioRoute. Scientific data sourced from third-party databases and publications remains subject to the respective licences of those sources. Your query results and saved projects are yours.

7. Subscription & Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis as described at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BioRoute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from reliance on results provided by the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.
